Our interactive map makes it possible to get a closer look of the construction sites in Denmark and Germany. The map features 360 degree photos and highlights points of interest.
Construction of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel began in 2020 initially on the Danish side, and in 2021 on the German side. You can find the overall schedule for the project here.
The main construction site for the Fehmarnbelt project, where the tunnel elements are cast and the tunnel workers stay. This is also where the toll station will be built.
A small work harbour and a concrete batching plant will be built at Puttgarden. They will be used for the construction of the tunnel portal.
Special dredging vessels will dredge the 18 km tunnel trench and, when it is completed, the tunnel elements will be immersed and joined together.
The three contractor consortia, FLC, FBC and FSC, have the task of constructing the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. Read more about the contractors and the companies behind them.
We have also set up webcams that livestream from our construction area east of Rødbyhavn on Lolland.
The construction of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel will create several thousand jobs on both the construction site itself and through sub-contractors.
We have collected all the information for our neighbours right here, so you can stay informed as the construction progresses.
