Information point with viewing terrace on Fehmarn

Not only is the construction site for the Fehmarnbelt tunnel growing and changing constantly, we are also continuously expanding our range of information. The latest addition to this range is a viewing platform: located directly next to the construction site and on Marienleuchter Weg, our information point with viewing terrace offers visitors the opportunity to experience the construction work.

The new attraction was constructed from several 40-foot shipping containers in a modular design. From here, visitors can observe the work on the German tunnel construction site from a height of six metres. On clear days, the view even extends as far as the tunnel element factory at Rødbyhavn on the Danish side. Two pairs of binoculars provide a better view, while information boards clearly explain the construction of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. The information on display is supplemented by films shown on a screen.

Access to the viewing platform is free of charge and available around the clock. A large car park offers plenty of space for cars, coaches and bicycles. The viewing terrace is accessible via stairs.

Please note that the viewing platform will be closed from 13 to 15 August due to an internal event.
