Apprentices and Campus Femern

Education with quality

Apprentices can work in an international environment, build skills, and gain specialised knowledge that is in demand both in Denmark and abroad.

Sund & Bælt has required at least 500 apprentice years in the major construction contracts. These are implemented as targets in all relevant tenders and contracts.

At Sund & Bælt and among the smaller contractors, there are also requirements for internships. This work continues throughout the construction period.

“This place is very professional. They really have a handle on things. People come from all over the world to work here. If you want to learn something new, you have that opportunity. You can really see that you are working on something huge.”

Apprentice housing at Campus Femern

Sund & Bælt has established Campus Femern at Strandholmgård near the construction site in Rødbyhavn.

Campus Femern is a living and learning environment where apprentices, students, and researchers spend their daily lives.

The area features 26 individual housing units and shared facilities, providing apprentices on the Fehmarnbelt project the opportunity to build a community outside of work.

Campus Femern is an attractive offering aimed at encouraging more young people to pursue all or part of their vocational training on Denmark's largest infrastructure project.
