In just four weeks, thousands of visitors have explored the 217-metre-long viewing ramp, which offers a unique perspective on the tunnel's construction site. The ramp leads to a lookout point 24 metres above the surrounding landscape, where in future train and car traffic will descend in-to the tunnel to Germany.
At the viewpoint, information posters in Danish, German, and English provide insight into the fascinating construction process of the 18-kilometre-long tunnel to Germany.
“We are thrilled by the great interest in visiting the new viewpoint for the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. Pilen offers a unique opportunity to get closer to the construction of the tunnel and enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. We also hope that visiting Pilen inspires children and young people to learn more about the opportunities that a careerin construction can offer”, says Jannie Lehmann, Exhibition Manager for the Fehmarnbelt tunnel exhibition in Rødbyhavn.
