Velkommen til FLC Village
A decent place to live with access to good facilities, a varied diet and undisturbed sleep is crucial for each employee’s living conditions, and that is exactly what the tunnel workers are provided with in FLC Village.
Part of the workforce on the Fehmarnbelt project are foreign nationals and therefore cannot commute between their home and workplace. For this reason, the contractor consortium Femern Link Contractors (FLC) has established a “tunnel village” accommodating over 1,300 residents near the construction site at Rødbyhavn.
Each month, a Village Council meets to discuss the issues and wishes raised by residents. The Village Council brings together representatives from FLC, Sund & Bælt, trade unions, and elected resident representatives.
Some employees on the project are offered accommodation outside FLC Village. This accommodation must meet the same minimum requirements as those in FLC Village. The contractor oversees compliance with requirements regarding size, internet access, bathroom facilities, and other aspects.
